Free transport during April and May
Public transport is free throughout April and May as part of a state government measure to ease pressures caused by rising fuel prices.
All trains, trams, and buses – metro and V/Line – are free every day until the end of May. All myki barriers will be left open, and commuters won’t need to touch on using their myki cards during this time. The myki machines will not charge you if you do accidentally touch on. Learn more.
