COVID-19 information

COVID-19 is a disease that spreads easily. Most people who get it will have mild to moderate symptoms and get better without needing a doctor. However, some people can get very sick, even if they are healthy. Older people, those who have health problems, and people with weak immune systems are at higher risk of severe illness.

In Victoria, COVID-19 cases are increasing. To protect people at higher risk, it is recommended that you:

  • Stay home if you feel unwell to prevent spreading the virus.
  • Take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for COVID-19 if you have symptoms, even if they are mild, especially before visiting a hospital, aged care, or disability care facility.

To protect our patients and staff, please sanitise your hands and wear a face mask when you visit our hospital. We provide hand sanitiser and masks for patients and visitors.

To keep everyone safe, if you have any cold or flu symptoms (like a runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, chills, or sweats), or if you tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 5 days, please reschedule your appointment.

For more information, visit the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Victoria website.
