About Clinical Professor Bernard Koong

Clinical Professor Bernard Koong is an Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist and author of the Atlas of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. He brings specialist clinical experience and an extensive teaching background to this program.
Bernard has delivered more than 200 invited lectures to dental and medical professionals worldwide. He has taught at universities across Australia and internationally, and contributed to clinical textbooks and the Australian Dental Association’s radiology guidance.
He is a founding partner of Envision Medical Imaging in Western Australia, including O-RAD, a dental and maxillofacial radiology reporting service supporting dentists across Australia. He served as Managing Radiologist for Qscan WA from 2024 to 2025.
Bernard completed his specialist training at the University of Toronto, where he received the Harron Award and Scholarship. He was the inaugural President of the Australian Academy of Dento-maxillofacial Radiology in 2019.
